Cat Spay and Neuter Clinic

at Gustavus Adolphus Church

Cause for Paws is hosting a spay and neuter clinic for owned cats through the Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program (MN SNAP) mobile unit on Thursday, September 11.  The clinic will be held at Gustavus Adolphus Church, located at 1669 Arcade Street on St. Paul's East Side.

This clinic is being funded by Second Chance Animal Rescue, a grant from Athletes for Animals, and Cause for Paws.

Details:

  • This clinic is for owned cats whose owners reside within the East Side zip codes of 55106, 55130, and 55119.

  • There is a limit of two cats per household.  Cats must be secured in carriers.

  • ​The surgery cost is $50 per cat for either a spay or neuter.  Payment is due the morning of surgery at check in.  MN SNAP accepts credit cards or cash.

  • Rabies and PRC vaccinations are also available through MN SNAP but are not covered under this subsidy.  They are $15 for each vaccine.

  • MN SNAP intends to serve Minnesota pet owners who participate in a federal or state needs-based public assistance program or earn less than $45,180 (single) or $93,600 (family). 

  • Appointments are limited and registration will close when we reach capacity.

  • Appointments are required.  Walk ins will not be served.

  • Schedule appointments by emailing Cause for Paws at cause4paws@hotmail.com or by leaving a message on voice mail at 952-259-1483 (leave your name and return phone number).  A volunteer will respond to your inquiry.

  • Please note, your appointment is not confirmed until a volunteer calls back to process your registration.
